We compare Moab rafting trips. We do not run them. That distinction is the whole reason this site is worth reading. Outfitters can only sell you their own trips, so none of them will tell you when a different operator or a cheaper run would suit you better. We can.
Every trip listed here is operated by a third party outfitter holding current federal permits. Your booking and your contract are with them.
Comparison, not sales.
If you search for Moab rafting you will mostly find outfitters. They run good trips and their sites are informative, but each one has exactly one thing to sell you: its own departures. No outfitter site will tell you that the cheaper run down the road would suit your family better, or that the trip you have picked is harder than you are expecting.
That gap is what this site exists to fill. We compare every commercially run trip within reach of Moab on the things that actually determine whether you enjoy the day: difficulty at the flow you will encounter, minimum ages, how long it really takes once shuttle time is counted, and what it costs across operators.
Difficulty that accounts for flow
Most sites quote one class rating for the whole year. A run that is comfortable Class III in August is a serious Class IV during the May snowmelt peak, and that difference matters more than the gap between two neighbouring runs.
Permits explained plainly
Federal agencies cap launches on most of these rivers. That is why the best trips sell out months ahead, and it is not a sales tactic. We publish which agency manages which run and how far ahead to book.

No invented reviews
We do not publish testimonials from guests we did not take on the river, and we do not display an aggregate star rating. Where we describe what people say about a run, we summarise public reviews and link to the source.
No paid placement
Nobody can buy a higher position on a comparison page. Trips are ordered by what suits a given reader. Where a non commissionable option is the better choice, we say so and link to it anyway.
Permitted operators only
Commercial rafting on these rivers requires authorisation from the Bureau of Land Management, National Park Service or Forest Service. We list only operators who hold it and who carry commercial liability insurance.
Ranges, not invented prices
We publish price ranges with a note to confirm current rates, rather than precise figures that go stale. A confident wrong number is worse than an honest range.
Why there are no guest reviews here.
Most rafting sites carry glowing testimonials. We do not, and the reason is simple: we did not take anybody on a river, so any review we published would be describing an experience somebody else provided. Presenting that as our own would be misleading, and inventing it outright is a practice we want no part of.
What we do instead is summarise themes from public reviews of the outfitters who run each trip, note the common complaints as well as the praise, and link to where you can read them yourself. That is less flattering and considerably more useful.
If you want reviews of a specific operator, read them on a platform that verifies bookings. We would rather point you there than compete with it.

No. We are an independent comparison guide published by Moabing Media, LLC. Every trip is run by a third party outfitter holding current federal and state permits, and your booking contract is with them. We do not own boats or employ guides, which is exactly why we can compare operators without a stake in which one you choose.
