The short answer
We collect very little, and we do not sell any of it. There are no user accounts on this site, we take no bookings and we process no payments. If you email us we keep the email. If you browse the site, standard web analytics record that a visit happened.
Everything below is the detail. If anything here is unclear or you want your information removed, write to us and we will deal with it.
What we collect.

What we do not collect
There are no accounts on this site, so no usernames or passwords. We take no bookings and process no payments, so we never see card details, billing addresses or traveller information. We do not run a newsletter, so there is no mailing list. We do not ask for or store dates of birth, phone numbers or postal addresses.
What we never do
We do not sell personal information. We do not share your email with outfitters or anyone else unless you ask us to make an introduction. We do not build advertising profiles and we run no advertising on this site.
What is stored in your browser.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking analytics cookies does not affect anything you can do on this site, since there is nothing to log into and nothing to buy.
Who else sees anything.
A short list, because the site does very little. Each of these has its own privacy policy governing what it does with data.
Google Analytics
Used through Site Kit to measure traffic. Collects the analytics data described above. Governed by Google's own privacy terms.
Our web host
Stores the site and keeps standard server logs including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.
Cloudflare
Sits in front of the site for security and performance, and obscures email addresses on the page from automated harvesting.
Outfitters you click through to
When you follow a booking link you leave this site entirely. Anything you do there, including any booking, is governed by that operator's privacy policy and terms, not ours.
If you write to us, your message sits in an email inbox hosted by a mail provider, as any email does.
Booking platforms, in future
Not currently in use. If affiliate links are added, the platform involved will be named here and on the disclosure page before the first link is published.
What you can ask us to do.
Depending on where you live you may have specific legal rights over your information, including under the California Consumer Privacy Act and the General Data Protection Regulation. We will honour the following requests from anyone, regardless of location, because it is simpler and fairer than checking.

To make any of these requests, write to us. We do not require a particular form of words and we will not ask you to justify the request.
Retention, children and changes.
How long we keep things
Email correspondence for as long as it is useful, and deleted on request at any time. Analytics data according to the retention period set in Google Analytics. Server logs according to our host's standard policy.
Children
This site is intended for adults planning trips. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, tell us and we will delete it.
Where data is handled
Moabing Media, LLC is based in Moab, Utah, and the site is hosted in the United States. If you are writing to us from elsewhere, your information will be handled in the US.
Changes to this policy
If we add a tool that collects data, or add affiliate links, this page will be updated before that happens rather than afterwards. The date at the top of the page tells you when it last changed.

Do you sell my personal information?
No, and we have no plans to. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, we run no advertising on this site, and we do not build advertising profiles. We also do not share your email with outfitters unless you specifically ask us to make an introduction.
What do you actually collect about me?
If you browse, standard web analytics record that a visit happened: pages viewed, approximate region, device and browser, and how you arrived. If you email us, we have your email and message. There are no accounts, no payments and no newsletter, so there is nothing else.
Do you use cookies?
Essential cookies set by WordPress and our host so the site works, and Google Analytics cookies to understand which pages are used. No affiliate tracking cookies are in use at present. If that changes it will be disclosed here and on the disclosure page beforehand.
Can I ask you to delete my data?
Yes. Write to us and we will delete any correspondence we hold. We will not ask you to justify the request or fill in a form. For almost everyone the honest answer is that we hold nothing beyond anonymous analytics anyway.
What happens when I click through to an outfitter?
You leave this site entirely. Anything you do on the outfitter's site, including making a booking, is governed by their privacy policy and their terms, not ours. We never see your booking details or payment information.
Do you have a cookie consent banner?
Whether one is required depends on where your visitors are and what is installed. If you are viewing this site from a region with consent requirements and are not seeing a banner you expect, tell us and we will look at it.
